The food was great, and it had a really welcoming atmosphere. My Vietnamese dentist recommended it to me, saying I should try it if I like spicy Asian cuisine. I picked up the bang bang noodles, and we're heading back this weekend. Full transparency: I typically don't dine in for Asian food, so I don't have a review for ambiance or atmosphere. So I'll base my review on cleanliness, service, support, and post-transaction. All of it met or exceeded what I consider industry standards. Honestly, as a new customer, I'm happy with how things are going so far. I'm a local, and as long as the quality stays high, I'll definitely keep coming back!
We order from this restaurant often. Their flavors are delicious but the problem is they don’t know how to adjust spiciness of food. They offer spice level 1-5, then “extra hot”. A 1 comes out the equivalent of medium, so it only gets spicier from there. If you don’t want any spice, then don’t choose a spice level. If you want mild, there’s no choice here, it’s no spice to medium.
I ordered delivery with GrubHub (hence no star rating for Atmosphere). I had seen other reviewers comment that their food was spicier than they had requested so I made sure to request a level 1 (since there was no 0 option). The food, though very good, was much too spicy for me (and my GI issues)—I'd say it was a 3. Unfortunately that kind of ruined the meal for me. Unsure why they have such a problem following that direction but I will say they followed my ingredients list/substitutions accurately. Perhaps if I had dined in, I could've made it clear about the lowest spice level but for delivery, it's definitely an issue.
Second time in 3 months we tried to have dinner here. Sat for an hour waiting for fried rice and pho. Watched a table that sat down 15 minutes after us get our appetizer. Time before that it took 45 minutes with only 4 occupied tables in the restaurant. They try to run the place with 3 employees. Done with this place!
I walked in not really thinking about the food. I was just trying to kill some time while my wife got her hair done next door. So I did what any regular doubtful potential customer would do🤔, I asked a random couple behind me, if the food was any good. They both went thumbs up 👍 and nodded. They were right, food was really good and delicious 👍 😋
My favorite places to eat when we are in town. The chicken stuffed chicken wings are a strange concept to wrap your head around but the results make all the confusion well worth it. I also get the yellow curry. My waitress blew my mind remembering what I order after years of coming only 2 weeks a year.
Had an excellent Thai Red Curry with Shrimp, abundant lunch portion, proper amount of spice (got the standard, mild). My friend got a very nice soup as well. Go for the food, you won't regret it. The young lady helping us did a great job too. Kudos.
☆6/30/23 Update☆ This place has changed. When I mention change, it has gone in the wrong direction. The quality of the food is off a bit, not the same, the presentation seems off, the cleanliness that I was used to has gone away. This cannot be my beloved NC Noodle Bar!?! The atmosphere is so tacky. Chairs and seating upholstery are falling apart. What are you guys doing? Flies everywhere, wobbly tables. Why, why, why would you let this happen? The waiter from the DR was outstanding. He even tried to sing to our 2-year-old son who was crying. I will be praying that you can turn this place around and head into a new direction. Maybe hire a manager or call Restaurant Impossible. You definitely need someone with some fresh eyes and fresh ideas. Previous Review: If you're within 100 miles of this place, YOU BETTER GET IN THERE IMMEDIATELY. This is the best food in any category in the city of Rock Hill.
